Who We Are

​The Kentucky Art Therapy Association (KYATA) is an organization whose main purpose is to serve it’s members. We are an official affiliate chapter of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) with specific focus on art therapy in Kentucky. Members of KYATA and AATA work together to support the professional development and advancement of the field of art therapy.
Our Goals

KYATA is an affiliate chapter of the American Art Therapy Association. Our purpose is to:
  • -Provide professional development support to art therapists in Kentucky
  • -Develop public awareness for the practice of art therapy
  • -Advocate for the advancement of the profession of art therapy
  • -Positively promote the profession of art therapy

Our board meets approximately every two months. We now maintain virtual participation options as well as in-person participation. Volunteers are always welcome to participate in committees in conjunction with the board. .
