QUALIFICATIONS:
Individuals who are Credentialed Professional or Professional members of the AATA, Inc. and who are members in good standing of the chapter shall be eligible to hold office in the chapter. 

Nominees will need to provide a bio that will be sent with the ballot. 

TERM:
  • Officers shall serve for a two (2) year term or until the successors are elected.
  • The term of office shall commence on January 1 for the elected two (2) years.
  • Officers may serve no more than two (2) consecutive terms in the same Office.
  • No member shall hold more than one office at a time and no member shall be eligible for any elected position while currently holding elected office unless that tenure terminates prior to assuming the new nomination position.

DUTIES:
All board members are active in planning & executing yearly KYATA Symposium, typically hosted the final weekend of May (the weekend following Memorial Day).

Many duties are shared amongst board members who are cross-trained. Duties are listed under each board position hyperlink above; review all position requirements prior to submitting your nomination of yourself or another professional.

Meeting Attendance:
Board Members should plan to make all efforts to attend scheduled art meet-ups & board meetings. Art Meet-Ups are on held approximately quarterly Saturdays 1-2pm immediately followed by open Board Meetings from 2-3pm. Locations are typically in Louisville, with options for other locations - recently including Frankfort & Lexington. Board Meetings (separate from Art-Meet Up dates) are also scheduled periodically throughout the year. Additional meetings are typically no more than 1x monthly before the Symposium, and an additional meeting prior to Election time in October/November. The Board Member Retreat is held in January on a Saturday for approximately 4 hours - this is a time to plan for the upcoming year, schedule meetings, hand over board requirements, and general board business. Aside from Board Member Retreat, Virtual Attendance can be an occasional option as well. 

General Shared Duties:
Apply for CEs for Trainings
Symposium - planning, executing
Scholarship - donations, announcements, marketing, managing
Email - Monitoring inbox, sending emails to Membership
Art Meet Up planning
Attend Board Meetings
Participate in group chat

Manage Elections
Creating and Adhering to Budget
Manage Website
Fill in on monthly AOC (Assembly of Chapters) virtual AATA meetings
Planning & Attending community mental health events (such as NAMI Walk & others requested or decided upon)
